Algernon in the

Botanical Gardens

This illustration has a fun backstory! I was applying to an internship (that I very much did not get) with the following prompt: 

​

"Show us what would happen if a mutated gerbil were let loose into the streets of Atlanta."

​

I thought that the little guy would be terrified and try to find a nice, quiet spot to nap (probably what I would do). He found Atlanta's beautiful Botanical Gardens, and proceeds to dream about tiny gerbil treats and flowers.
